SamhAin 26 October 2014
Halloween has its origins in the pagan holy day Samhain (pronounced sow-wane). We will be celebrating Samhain as part of our exploration of earth based religions. As Unitarian Universalists we look to the sources of our faith and the wisdom that comes through to us from earlier times. In celebrating our sixth source "Spiritual teachings of earth-centered traditions, which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature." the whole church school explores and celebrates current and earlier expressions of spirituality associated with this cross quarter day on the wheel of the year.
